Kate Praetz

Kate Praetz '25 joined the St. Catherine University soccer staff as an assistant coach in August 2025. Praetz graduated from St. Catherine in May of 2025 as the most successful goalkeeper in program history, while also holding multiple conference and Division III accolades.

Appearing in goal for 85 games playing 7,472 minutes in net, she carried a career goals against average of  0.71. She recorded 58 wins with a program leading 37 shutouts in her career. During the 2023 season, Praetz led the all divisions for the most shutouts in a single season while earning the Division III honor of having the best save percentage at .917. She earned MIAC All-Conference honors four times in her career and was awarded the MIAC Playoff MVP in 2022. She was also a three-time United Soccer Coaches All-Region selection.

Aside from her time working with the Wildcat goalkeepers, she also is an analytical technician at Bell Internatiaonl Labaroties.
