Abby Edgar

Edgar begins her 21st year as the Head Athletic Trainer at St. Catherine University for the 2024-25 seasons.

Edgar has been a Board Certified Athletic Trainer since 2004 with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).  Edgar and her staff of a Certified Athletic Trainer and student medicine assistants are responsible for prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for all St. Kate’s varsity programs.  She and her staff cover practices and home events for all St. Kate’s teams.  Edgar also consults with physical therapists from the St. Catherine doctorate of physical therapy program, as well as physicians and physical therapists from Twin Cities Orthopedics to evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries. 

Edgar received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training and Health Education from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2003.  She then earned her Master’s of Science degree in School Health Education from  the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2005. 

Edgar is also a faculty member in the Nutrition and Exercise Sciences Department at St. Catherine University.
