Biography

I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: being a Wildcat is more than just being an athlete; it's being part of another family.

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Kate's?: Being a student-athlete allows me to compete for the love of the game while earning a degree and becoming a well-rounded person.

2015: This will be Rachel's third season as a Wildcat.

2014: Rachel played in 26 matches for the Wildcats and was second on the team in service aces (22) and third in digs with 221. She also compiled 35 kills.

2013: As a first-year, Rachel played in 30 matches and was second on the team in digs with 349. She also had 96 kills, 19 service aces and 13 blocks.

High school: Rachel was four-time all-conference at Maple Lake High School and twice player of the year. Her team participated in the state tournament twice and she served as a three-year cpatain. Rachel holds the career records for kills and digs at Maple Lake. She was also an honor roll student, member of the National Honor Society and a journalism editor.

Personal: Rachel chose St. Catherine because of the oppotunities to play volleyball and get an education in her field of interest. She also wanted to attend school in the Twin Cities. Rachel is a dietetics major and member of the Wildcat Student-Athlete Advisory Committe (WSAAC). She also spent time working as a dietary specialist intern with special needs children at a summer camp. She is the daughter of Don and Julie Rachel.
