What do you enjoy about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: What I enjoy most is being able to be close to my teammates, coaches and professors. I get to meet new people and focus on my education and sport.Ā
2017: In her final season as a Wildcat, Neumann appeared in 18 matches for the Wildcats all as a setter.Ā Ā Neumann finished the year with 152 assists in 18 matches and recorded a career high four aces in a single match in St. Kate's loss to Bethel in September. She also cemented her place in the school record book, as her 466 career assists rank 13
thĀ all-time in school history. Neumann was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.Ā
2016: In her junior season with the Wildcats, NuemannĀ played in 20 matches and 68 sets, all as a setter. She was third on the team in assists (314) and averaged 4.62 assists per set. She recorded a new-career high in assists (28) in St. Kate's match against the University of DebuqueĀ on September 17.
2015:Ā In her first season with the volleyball team, Neumann played in four matches and recorded 49 assists. and four service aces. She had a career-high 24 assists in the Wildcats' win over Crown on Oct. 16. Ā
High School: Neumann played volleyball and basketball at Hermantown. She was a junior and senior captain for volleyball and first-team all-conference twice. She was also the team's MVP as a senior and twice selected to the all-area team. For basketball, Neumann was second-team all-conference and captain twice. Outside of sports, Neumann was an honor roll student and student council member.Ā
Personal: Neumann chose St. Kate's for the fashion program and class sizes. She is a business major. She is the daughter of Shawn and Shawn Neumann.
