Sam Sullivan

Sam Sullivan enters her fourth season as a member of the St. Catherine University volleyball staff after graduating from Minnesota State University-Moorhead in May 2015 where she played four years and served as a two-year captain. She led the Dragons in assists in 2013 with 636, and finished her career with 1,293 assists. Sullivan also led the Dragons as a junior and senior in service aces with 35 and 28, respectively. As a senior, Sullivan had 486 assists and 177 digs.
 
Off the court, Sullivan was a dean's list student, NSIC All-Academic Team award recipient, member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and intramural and club sports supervisor. Sullivan graduated with a degree in exercise science and spent time as an intern with Sanford Power Center in Fargo, North Dakota. She also volunteered at Sanford Hospital in Fargo as a physical therapy pool volunteer. In May 2018, Sullivan earned her Masters in Organizational Leadership with a certificate in Strategic Management.
 
Sullivan brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Wildcat volleyball team. For the last five years, Sullivan has coached for Moorhead Juniors in Moorhead, Minnesota, and Kokoro Volleyball in St. Paul, MN. In these roles, she has carried out all aspects of team management, including personal evaluations and individual development. She also worked with Midwest Elite Volleyball Camps as a camp director. In 2017, Sullivan led her Kokoro team to a birth to the USAV National Championship Tournament in the 13 National Division. In 2019, Sullivan led her Kokoro team to a 3rd-place finish at the 46th AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships, with two members earning All-American honors in the 18-Apex Division. 

Additionally, Sullivan has worked with Midwest Volleyball Camps, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Macalester College  as a camp instructor. 

Aside from Sullivan's coaching responsibilities, she also is an instructor in the Exercise and Sport Science Department at St. Catherine.Â
