Russell joins the Wildcat volleyball coaching staff for her first season in 2015. She played college volleyball at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she graduated in 2009 with a degree in marketing communications and coaching. 

As an alum of Eastview High School, Russell returned following her collegiate career to coach with the volleyball team for four years. In addition to her high school coaching experience, Russell also coaches with the M1 Volleyball Club in Bloomington, Minnesota.
