Courtney Lemke

Courtney Lemke enters her first season in the fall of 2019 at St. Catherine University as the assistant volleyball coach.

Lemke, a native of Brownton, Minnesota, played four seasons for Augsburg University, a fellow member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), earning a bachelor's degree in Sport Management in December 2017. Prior to joining St. Catherine University, she served as the head volleyball coach at Ridgewater Community College in Willmar, Minnesota. 

At Augsburg, Lemke played in a total of 89 matches from 2013 to 2016 appearing in 289 sets. The setter finished her career recording 158 points for the Auggies. She also tallied 1,617 assists, 739 digs, and 94 kills. During her junior campaign, she was third in the MIAC with 8.54 assists per set.  In her four years, the Auggies were regular season champions in both 2014 and 2016 and earning a spot in the MIAC Playoffs in each season on the team. Augsburg earned a spot in the NCAA tournament in both her first-year and sophomore season receiving an at-large bid in 2013 and 2014. 

During her time as the head volleyball coach at Ridgewater, Lemke coached her team to a 13-13 record, finishing tied for 2nd in the conference. In the Minnesota College Athletic Conference competing at the National Junior Community College Association (NJCCA). Lemke led her team to the NJCCA tournament with three student-athletes earning MCAC All-Conference honors. During that time, she also was a substitute teacher at Glencoe-Silver Lake High School.

Aside from her coaching responsibilities at Ridgewater, Lemke has coached for Vital Volleyball Club located in Eden Prairie.

In addition to serving as the assistant volleyball coach, Lemke will assist Nelson with day-to-day operations and serve as the team social media coordinator. She will also be an instructor in the exercise and sport science department.Â
