I am proud to be a Wildcat because: I feel like I'm part of something bigger than just a class or just a practice.

What do you enjoy most about being a St. Catherine student-athlete?: My favorite part about being a student-athlete is the community it brings in both the academic world as well as the athletic world.

2015: In her final season as a Wildcat, Besch played in all 31 matches. She led the team in multiple hitting categories and ranked in the top 15 in the MIAC for kills (286), kills per set (2.58) and hitting percentage (.245). She was also 10th in total blocks (68). Besch ends her career ranked at St. Kate's fifth in career blocks (188), sixth in kills (719), seventh in attack attempts (1877), 14th in hitting percentage (.192) and 15 in service aces (62). She also earned Academic All-MIAC honors.

2014: As a junior, Besch played in 27 matches and led the Wildcats in multiple hitting categories and ranked in the top 20 in the MIAC for kills (233), kills per set (2.45) and hitting percentage (.236). She was also second on the team in blocks with 44. Besch also earned Academic All-MIAC honors.

2013: Besch played in 30 matches as a sophomore. She compiled 160 kills and was second on the team with 20 service aces. She was also second on the team with 60 total blocks. Besch earned Academic All-MIAC honors.

2012: As a first-year Wildcat, Besch played in 19 matches and compiled 40 kills, 15 block assists and 35 digs.

High School: Besch was a four-year letter winner and received Rookie of the Year award her sophomore year, and Athlete Award her junior and senior year. She was also team captain junior and senior year.

Personal: Besch is an exercise and sport science, pre-physical therapy major and dean's list student. She is also a member of the Omicron Nu honors society. She attended the 2014 MIAC Student-Athlete Leadership Conference. Besch is also a member of the Wildcat track and field team. She was the 2015 MIAC javelin champion and holds the St. Kate's record in the event. She is also co-leader of the St. Kate's Fellowship for Christian Athletes group. She is the daughter of DeAnn Besch.
