Other sports: Thompson is also a member of the St. Kate's hockey team. 

High School: In track, Thompson was a two-time conference and section champion in 2013 and 2015. She also made state appearances in 2013 (long jump) and 2015 (discus throw, long jump). Thompson was a two-year track captain and also competed in hockey. Outside of athletics, Thompson was a top ranking student with a 4.0, earned an honors diploma and was a member fo National Honors Society. She also volunteered with Special Olympics, Relay for Life, Mending Minds for autism awareness and the local girls youth hockey program. She also was a referee.

Personal: Thompson chose St. Kate's for the academic opportunities, great athletic programs and welcoming staff. She plans to major in environmental studies with a focus in biology and minor in geographic information systems (GIS). She is the daughter of Michael and Diane Thompson.
