What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: I enjoy being a student-athlete at St. Kate's because it creates an environment for me to grow as an athlete, student and person.

Other sports: Strickland is a member of the cross country team. As a sophomore, she ran 23:35 at the NCAA Central Region meet at Central College for the No. 4 fastest all-time performance at St. Kate's.
High School: Strickland was captain of both the cross country and track and field teams her junior and senior years at Rochester Lourdes High School. She appeared in the state cross country meet three times and was all-conference four times. In track and field, Strickland appeared in the state meet twice and was three-time all-conference. She was the MVP of the track team three times and once for cross country. Strickland also earned academic all-state honors.
Personal: Strickland chose St. Catherine because she felt connected to the people she met on her visit including the cross country team and the coaches. Strickland is also a member of the track and field team and the Wildcat Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (WSAAC). She is a nursing major and member of the student nurses' association. She is the daughter of Steven and Kathleen Strickland.
