2011 Track & Field Roster
Biography
2011: Kayla is a returning three-year letter winner in track & field and a four-year letter winner in soccer for the Wildcats. She is also a captain for the track team this year.
2010: Kayla was awarded MIAC Sportsmanship award for soccer, and also won the teams' Wildcat Award. She earned Academic All-American honors for outdoor track as a junior and was a member of the Wildcat's NCAA provisionally qualifying 4x400m relay team.
2009: As a sophomore, Kayla was named most improved in soccer and won the team spirit award for the track team.
Kayla holds six school records in track, including the indoor and outdoor 800m and the indoor 600m run.
High School: At Lakeville North High School, she earned three letters in soccer, was an All-State athlete in track and was team captain for both the soccer and track & field teams.
Personal: In high school, Kayla was involved in NHS, Linkcrew and her church community. Her favorite books are the Harry Potter series and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy are her favorite movies. Kayla and her twin sister Kim are the youngest of five children born to Stacia and David Engel. Kayla is a Nursing major at St. Kate's.
