I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: the St. Kate's community is so supportive. Being an athlete at that type of school is something to be proud of. 

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Kate's: I enjoy being part of a team that is cohesive and supportive. I have made some lifelong friends and will continue to keep in touch long after my college career is over. 

2016: This will be Salo's final season as a Wildcat.

2015: As a junior, Salo repeated as an All-MIAC selection for both singles and doubles. She went 10-0 in conference matches at the No. 1 spot for doubles and finished the year 15-3 overall. In singles, she played both No. 2 and 3 going 6-4 in MIAC matches and 12-6 overall to help the Wildcats to a fifth-straight MIAC postseason appearance. Following completion of the season, Salo ranked No. 5 all-time at St. Kate's for career doubles wins and No. 6 for career singles wins. She also earned Academic All-MIAC honors. 

2014: In her second season with the Wildcats, Salo earned All-MIAC honors in singles and doubles play helping the Wildcats to their fourth-consecutive playoff appearance. She went 7-3 in singles play with most of her wins at the No. 4 position and 9-1 at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Her overall doubles wins of 16 ranks No. 9 all-time for wins in a season. Her 32 career doubles wins also rank No. 9 all-time. She earned Academic All-MIAC honors.  

2013: In her first season with the Wildcats, Salo went a perfect 10-0 in MIAC No. 3 doubles play with an overall record of 16-1, which ranks No. 6 all-time at St. Kate's for a single season. In singles play, Salo posted a 13-3 record overall, an 8-2 MIAC singles record and was 12-3 at No. 6 singles. She was also named to the MIAC All-Sportsmanship team. 

High School: Salo was a six-year letter winner at Brainerd High School.  She helped lead her team to three-straight state tournament appearances.  Salo also reached the state individual tournament in doubles, where she finished in the consolation finals as a junior and the quarterfinals as a senior.  She was also both captain and MVP of her team for two years.  Salo was a four-year all-conference player and reached 100 wins during her high school career. 

Personal: Salo is a psychoology major and dean's list student. She also attended the MIAC Student-Athlete Leadership Conference and is a member of the Wildcat Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (WSAAC). Salo is the daughter of Bill and Lisa Salo.
