What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: I enjoy hanging out with my teammates and all the traveling we do together.Ā
2017: As a junior, Sporer earned All-MIAC honors for the first time in her career in doubles play.Ā Sporer was statistically St. Kate's best doubles player throughout the 2016-17 season, as she posted an overall record of 15-6 and went 8-3 in MIAC play. The junior was also named MIAC Women's Tennis Athlete-of-the-Week on March 14 after opening the season with a 6-1 record in singles play and a 4-4 mark in doubles play.
2016:Ā As a sophomore, Sporer helped St. Kate's make it's sixth consecutive appearance in the MIAC playoffs as the team's No. 5 singles player and member of the No. 3 doubles team. Sporer posted a 10-7 record in singles play and was 3-4 against MIAC opponents. In doubles, SporerĀ was 8-9 overall and 2-5 in the MIAC.Ā
2015: In her first season as a Wildcat, Sporer played No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles for the Wildcats. She won seven singles matches and three doubles matches
to help the Wildcats to a fifth-straight MIAC postseason appearance.Ā
High School: Sporer was a two-year tennis captain and twice named MVP at Rogers. She was also an all-conference selection as a senior. Outside of sports, Sporer was an honor roll sutdent and member of National Honors Society.Ā
Personal: Sporer chose to attend St. Kate's because of its proximity to home and the opportunity to be a Wildcat. She is an engineering major and member of Lamda Sigma Tau. She is the daughter of Scott Sporer, Denise Sporer.
