Biography

I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: I love everything that the school strands for and am so proud to be apart of such an amazing team filled with wonderful people.

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Kate's?: I love being able to play the sport I love, with teammates who have become like sisters to me.

2017-18: This will be Peterson's second season with the Wildcats.

2016-17: Peterson made quite the impression as a first year in 2016-17, as she qualified for multiple events at the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships in February. The first year qualified for the finals of the 1650 yard freestyle and finished just outside the top-8 with a time of 18:18.40. In the process of recording a season and career best swim, Peterson also broke the school record in both the 1000 and 1650 races, which stood since the 2013 season. Peterson also recorded a career best time in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:21.48 at the MIAC Championship.

High School: Peterson was a scholar athlete and honor roll student during her time at St. Francis High School in Cameron Park California.

Personal: Peterson chose St. Kate's because of the opportunities in occupational therapy and eventually fell in love with the campus when she came to visit. She is the daughter of Colleen and Todd Peterson.
