What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine University?
The support that we get as athletes is amazing and I get to be apart of a much bigger family with my teammates and the rest of the athletes here at St. Kate’s!
I chose to attend St. Kate’s because: of their amazing nursing program and the opportunity to continue my soccer career.
2017: As a sophomore, Carey appeared in and started 20 games for the Wildcats. Carey had 15 shots in her second season with the Wildcats.
2016: In her first season with the Wildcats, Carey played in all 19 games for St. Kate's and started 11. She played 1060 minutes for the Wildcats, primarily as an outside back.
Academic Honors/ Involvement:
Dean's List: Spring 17, Spring 18.
High School: At Hudson, Carey received Team All-Conference and MVP honors after her senior year. She also earned the team's Relentless Award and was ranked as the third best player in the conference after leading Hudson in assists. Carey participated in the Minnesota ODP program and attended the Regional Soccer Showcase in 2014. Off the field, Carey was an honor roll student and received the President's Volunteer Service Award.
Personal: Carey chose to attend St. Kate's because the growing soccer program and the nursing program. She is the daughter of Brett and Mary Carey.
