I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: of the close-knit community and the respect toward each other.

2017-18: As a junior, Smith played in 21 games for St. Kate's. She scored the game winner in the Wildcats 6-2 win over St. Olaf on January 13.

2016-17: In her first season with St. Kate's hockey, Smith played in 24 games with one goal. She scored the first goal of her collegiate career in the Wildcats 5-3 win over Saint Mary's in February.

Other sports: Smith is also a member of the St. Kate's swim and dive team.

High School: Smith was a four-year all-conference honoree and state qualifier at Hill-Murray in swimming and diving. Additionally, she earned all-state honors as a junior and was a senior captain. She helped her relay teams earn two top-eight finishes and set school records in the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays. Outside of swimming, Smith was an honor roll student, academic letter winner and earned excellence awards in chemistry, Spanish and arts/creativity. She also went on a service trip to Guatemala.

Personal: Smith chose to attend St. Kate's for the nursing program and sense of a friendly community. She plans to major in nursing. She is the daughter of Nate and Laura Smith.
