Biography
I am proud to be a Wildcat because: I get to be surrounded by hardowkring, dedicated, and strong women everyday. Being part of this amazing team will make me a better runner, and I am thankful to St. Kate's for giving me the opportunity to participate in a this sport I love so much!
2017: This will be Damron's second season with the Wildcats.
2016: In her first season with St. Kate's, Damron was successful on the cross country course, finishing in the team's top-7 multiple times throughout the season. She recorded multiple PRs during the year and finished in the top 150 with a time of 26:26.3.
High School: Damron received multiple awards during her high school career. She was voted Homestead's most improved runner after the 2014-15 season and earned the Highlander Award for Excellence and Leadership as a senior in 2015-16. She was a three-year letter winner and led the team as captain in 2015-16. Off the course, she was a member of National Honors Society and earned the Merit Award each year in high school.
Personal: Damron chose St. Kate's because she loved the welcoming atmosphere, beautiful campus, and the educational opportunities. She plans to major in exercise science and nutrition. She is the daughter of Rob and Leah Damron.
