Biography
I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: the atmosphere at the school is so incredible! Everyone here is trying to help you in every way they can in all aspects of the school.
What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Kate's? Everyone involved in St. Kate's athletics truly cares about making each athlete the best they can be, on and off the court.
2017-18: As a sophomore, Nelson played in 18 games and made one start for the Wildcats. She tallied 23 total points and 24 rebounds during the season.
2016-17: In her first season with St. Kate's, Nelson played in three games and scored five points. She averaged 5.3 minutes a game and shot 40 % from the floor.
Other sports: Nelson is also a member of the volleyball team.
High School: Nelson was a key player for the Byron Bears, serving as captain of the team her junior and senior year. Nelson earned All-Conference honors and was named team MVP after the 2015 season. She also played basketball for the Bears and was a member of National Honors Society.
Personal: Nelson chose St. Kate's because the university provides the resources she needs to chose her future major and she loved the location of the school. She is the daughter of Gail and Scott.
