Tim Peper

Peper joined the St. Kate's basketball staff in 2014-15 as an assistant. He is one of the top Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) coaches in Minnesota.

Peper has been vital to the recent success of the Wildcats as he enters his fifth year as an assistant coach. With Peper's guidance, the Wildcats have reached the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) postseason tournament back to back in 2016-17 and 2017-18 finishing fifth and sixth, respectively.

Peper joined the Wildcats after helping develop the Minnesota Fury into one of the top AAU basketball programs in the state and country as co-director. In his role with the Fury, Peper worked to develop the teams and recruit players at both the 13U and 17U levels – both of which he serves as coach.

Not only has Peper been a standout coach for AAU, he has also served as girls varsity coach at Simley High School since 2005. In 2014, Peper led Simley to a MSHSL tournament appearance and was named section Coach of the Year. He finished the season with more career wins than any coach in school school history which included four 20-win seasons and a cumulative 85-29 record over the last four seasons. Peper also earned Coach of the Year honors in 2012. Prior to his time with the girls varsity program, Peper served as the JV boys coach at Simley and the c-squad coach at Saint Croix Lutheran High School.

Peper is a 2001 graduate of Augsburg College where he played football and earned a bachelor's degree in physical and secondary education. He then earned his master's degree in education as part of the administrative licensure program at Hamline University.
