I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: I enjoy being part of a team.

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?
I love being in an atmosphere where sports are a privilege and academics are a priority. I also get to represent a winning program and a great school. 

2017: This will be Bruns second season as a Wildcat. 

2015: In her first season as a Wildcat, Bruns earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors after leading the Wildcats in batting avearge (.402), total bases (81), walks (18), putouts (254). She also set a school records for RBI (44) and doubles (14) in a season which led the team and the MIAC. Bruns also ranked in the MIAC top 10 for hits (49), home runs (6), sluggind percentage (.664), on-base percentage (.479), walks, putouts and total bases. Twice Bruns earned MIAC Athlete-of-the-Week honors during her rookie season. She also hit her first collegiate grand slam against Macalester on April 25. 

High School: As a senior at Elk River, Bruns helped her softball team win a state championship. She earned all-conference, all-section and all-state honors that year and set the school record for career hits, doubles and RBI. During her junior season, Bruns earned the same honors and set a single-season record for doubles. As a first-year and sophomore she was all-conference honorable mention. Outside of softball, Bruns was a member of National Honors Society and Red Cross.

Personal: Bruns chose to attend St. Kate's for its campus atmosphere. She is a sonography major. She is the daughter of Condi and Jerry Bruns.
