As a senior, Rice was named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) All-Conference First Team and Gold Glove Team after leading the Bulldogs with a school record 379 put outs at first base. She was a four-year starter and helped the Bulldogs make an appearance in the NCAA Division II regional tournament in 2012 and win the NSIC conference championship in 2013.

Off the field, Rice was a member of the NSIC All-Academic Team, a dean's list student, co-president of the Bulldogs' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Bulldog game management student employee. Rice graduated with a degree in exercise science and spent two years as a physical therapy volunteer assistant with Physical Therapy Consultants, Inc., in Isanti, Minnesota. Additionally, Rice worked as a therapeutic lifestyle change coach with Clinical Exercise Physiology in Duluth.

For the last three years, Rice has been head coach of the Minnesota Force softball team where she has carried out all aspects of team management and coaching. She has also worked for three years as a lead camp instructor with the Minnesota Fastpitch Academy leading skill instruction and planning camp activities.
