Biography

2012: In her junior year as a Wildcat, Rooney had a .299 batting average and started 31 games. She also had 26 hits,14 runs and 12 RBI. Her slugging percentage was .368. Cassie recieved Academic All-Conference honors.

2011: Rooney played in 35 out of 38 games, and was third on the team in home runs (1). Her BA was .284, with 23 hits and 12 RBIs.
 
2010: Cassie played in 7 games and had 9 hits and 7 RBIs. She was also tied for 2nd on the team in triples (1).

High School: At Wayzata High School, Rooney was a two-time all conference winner and a five year letter winner. Her favorite athletic memory was beating Eden Prairie in sections, handing them their first loss in two and a half years.

Personal: Cassie's favorite athlete is Derek Boogard. She chose St. Kate's because it was a good choice for her major and she loved the athletic program. She is the daughter of Phil and Connie Rooney. She plans on teaching Physical Education.
