Biography

2012: Ashley started in 18 games and played a season total of 21 games. She had 10 RBI and a .327 slugging percentage. She also had 1 home run.

2011: Ashley played in 30 out of 38 games and had 9 runs and 4 RBIs.

2010: Matthys scored 5 runs and hit one RBI. She had a fielding percentage of .933.

High School: Ashley lettered in nordic skiing and softball while attending Elk River High School. In 2009, she participated in the State Tournament for softball.

Personal: Matthys is also on the Track & Field team, where she competes in the long jump. In high school, she was a member of Student Council and National Honor Society. She volunteers for Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Feed My Starving Children. She is the daughter of Rick and Robyn Matthys and is a Nursing major at SCU.
