2012-13 Swimming & Diving Roster
Biography
I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: a Wildcat is a strong, independent person.
2011-2012: Steff was MIAC champion in the 400 IM, placing 1st and she also placed 2nd in the 200 IM, earning All-Conference for both. She posted an NCAA "B" score and set a new school record in the 400 IM. She also scored points by placing 6th in the 200 backstroke.
2010-2011: Steffanie had a very successful season, placing top 3 in her three specialty events at the 2011 MIAC meet, the 200 IM, and 100 & 200 backstroke. She also set new school records in these events, and posted NCAA "B" cuts in all three as well. She was also the leadoff backstroker for the school record setting 200 medley relay, and was a member of the record setting 200 & 400 freestyle relays.
2009-2010: As a first-year, from Starkville, Mississippi, Steffanie was the leading backstroker on the team. At the 2010 MIAC meet, Steffanie broke two individual school records in the 100 and 200 backstroke and placed top 5 in these events. She was also a member of four school record setting relay teams (200 & 400 medley and 200 & 400 free).
High School: At Starkville Academy High School in Mississippi, she participated in the state swim meet and also broke two school records.
Personal: Steffanie loves Starbucks coffee and sunflower seeds. Her favorite part about being a student athlete is how close the team is and all the support she receives. She is the daughter of Hedwig and Peter Jurusik.
