I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: at St. Kate's we have a great group of individuals that make up out athletic department. We are all very supportive of all Wildcat athletics and push each other to be the best that we can be!
What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine University? I really enjoy being a part of such a close knit group that supports and motivates each other. It is great t have that support both on the court and in the classroom.
2017: As a sophomore, Flatness played in 23 matches for the Wildcats as a middle hitter. She amassed 92 kills in 245 attempts to finish the season with a .220 hitting percentage. Flatness also recorded 59 blocks during the season, which was second only to Breuer's 66. Named to Dean's List
2016: In her freshman season, Flatness appeared in 28 sets for St. Kate's, primarily as a middle hitter. She was fourth on the team in hitting percentage (.168), third in kills/set average (2.00), tied for third in kills (184), and second in total blocks (62) at the end of the season. Flatness recorded a career high 16 kills in a five set loss to Martin Luther in late September.
High School: Flatness guided Elk Mound to the District 3 Regional Quarterfinal as a senior captain in 2015. She was a two-time All-Conference Honoree, having been named First and Second team All-Conference in her junior and senior seasons. Flatness was also team MVP her senior season, Off the court, Flatness was an honor roll student and a member of NHS.
Personal: Biology Major, Chemistry Minor.
Flatness chose St. Kate's because of beautiful campus, amazing athletic facilities, and the overall sense of community. She plans to major in biology and is the daughter of Jeff and Kim Flatness.
