2017 Cross Country Roster
Biography
I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: we not only care about our own success but the success of our teammates and other Wildcats.
2017: This will be Axberg's first season as a Wildcat.
High School: Axberg was extremely successful during her career at Irondale High School. In cross country, Axberg was a state participatant in 2016, a 3x All-Conference honoree, and was named team MVP and captain during her career. In track and field, three was a 3x state participant and was a member of Irondale's State Champion 4x400 meter relay team in 2016. She was also a member of Irondale's cross country ski team. Outside of athletics, Axberg was amember of NHS, Essence Club, a 4x Academic All-State honoree, and a volunteer at the Humane Society. She was both a Triple A and Athena Award winner and was named Irondale's Honors Female Athlete of the World.
Personal: Axberg chose St. Kate's because she loved the supportive, welcoming, and empowering atmosphere that young women are exposed to. It is a school that works to make a difference. Axberg plans to double major in political science and public health. She is the daughter of Pam and Joe Axberg.
