What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: I enjoy how close al the teammates are with each other and all the great friends I have made through being a student-athlete.
2016-17: Nagy put together yet another historical season in her fourth and final year with the Wildcats. Nagy was named MIAC Diver of the Year for the third time in her career after winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at the MIAC Championship in February. She also qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time in her career after winning the 3-meter competition at the NCAA Regional Diving Zones and earned All-America Honorable Mention status with two top-16 finishes at nationals. In addition, Nagy was named the MIAC Athlete-of-the-Week twice in 2016-17 and was the team MVP at the end of the season. Nagy will graduate as the school record holder in three different diving events and is the first diver in program history to earn All-MIAC honors and qualify for regionals all four years of her collegiate career. Nagy was named St. Kate's Athlete-of-the-Year at the Purple and Gold awards in May.
2015-16: As a junior, Nagy earned All-MIAC honors for the third consecutive year after taking second place in both the 1- and 2-meter diving events at the MIAC Championships. She also qualified for NCAA Regional Diving Zones for the third consecutive year and broke her own 3-meter, 11-dive school record that she set the previous year. After breaking the record, Nagy was named MIAC Athlete-of-the-Week for the fourth time in her career and earned Academic All-Conference honors.
2014-15: As a sophomore, Nagy won both the 1- and 3-meter diving events at the MIAC Championships and repeated as MIAC Diver-of-the-Year. During the year, she set three school records including both six and 11 dives on the 1-meter board and the 3-meter, 11-dive record. Nagy also earned the MIAC Athlete-of-the-Week award in three consecutive weeks. She qualified for and competed at the NCAA regional diving zones for the second-consecutive year. She also earned Academic All-MIAC honors and was named the Wildcat Athlete of the Year.
2013-14: In her first season as a Wildcat, Nagy was MIAC Champion on the 1-meter board and earned All-MIAC honors on the 3-meter board for her thrid-place finish. For her performance, she was named the MIAC Women's Diver-of-the-Year. She also qualified for the NCAA regional diving zones where she nearly broke the St. Kate's records for both boards. Nagy also had career-best swims in three events. She earned the St. Kate's athletics department Rookie of the Year Award.
High School: Nagy was an all-conference diver at Hutchinson in 2010, 2011 and 2012. She also made state appearances in those three years and finished fourth in 2012. Nagy was also a team captain, National Honor Society member and four-year honor roll student.
Personal: Nagy chose to attend St. Kate's because of the academic programs and opportunity to swim and dive collegiately. She is an exercise and sport science major and dean's list student. She is the daughter Richard and Sherry Nagy.
