2016-17: In her second season with St. Kate's, Ellingson posted multiple top-10 finishes at several of St. Kate's meets. She also helped St. Kate's to its highest finish at the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships in over five years, as she finished fourth in the 200 IM at the meet with a time of 2:11.18. Ellingson also took eighth in the 100 fly with a time of 59.60 and scored for the Wildcats in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:28.13. 

2015-16: In her first season with the Wildcats, Ellingson set to school record in the 100 fly (58.36) and posted multiple top-5 finishes at several of St. Kate's major meets. Ellingson also made a splash at the MIAC Swimming & Diving Championships, as she earned All-Conference honors with a second place finish in the 200 fly. 

High School: Ellingson finished 13th at the 2014 state meet in the 100 Butterfly. She also holds the Eagan record in that same event. During her time at Eagan, she was twice all-conference and twice all-conference honorable mention and the team's MVP as a senior. Ellingson has also been a Special Olympics swimming coach since 2006. Outside of swimming, she was president of the eagan unity club, was on the Spanish club board of directors, and served as a peer tutor, link leader and peer mediator. Ellingson was also a member of National Honors Society. 

Personal: Ellingson chose to attend St. Kate's for its renowned occupational therapy program. She plans to major in exercise and sport science, pre-occupational therapy. She is the daughter of Jenine Keegan, Joel Ellingson.
