What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: I enjoy being a student-athlete because I can continue my running career and also be challenged academically and athletically.
2016: Ahlstrom was extremely successful in her first season with St. Kate's. She recorded multiple top-20 finishes throughout the year and became the youngest student-athlete to earn All-Region honors in program history. At the MIAC Championship in October, Ahlstrom finished in 17th place with a time of 23:47.9 and was 32nd at the Regional Race the next weekend. Ahlstrom currently holds the fourth-fastest time in program history after running 23:06 at the Seven Sisters Championship. She was also named St. Kate's Rookie of the Year Award winner in 2017.
High School: Ahlstrom was a three-time letter winner in cross country and track during her time at White Bear Lake. As a captain in 2015, Ahlstrom helped the team qualify for the cross country state tournament and earned All-Conference Honorable Mention and Academic All-State honors.
Personal: Ahlstrom chose St. Kate's because of the opportunities in the physical therapy program and the campus environment. She is the Vice President of the Student Honors program Organization and an officer in the Nutrition and Exercise Science Club and FCA. She plans to major in Exercise and Sport Science. Ahlstrom in the daughter of Guy and Melanie Ahlstrom.
