Biography
I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: whether it is an individual event or a team competition, I feel I can always count on my teammates to be there. We also represent a great school.
What do enjoy most about begin a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: I enjoy the balance of hard academics with competitive athletics and the sense of community our campus has.
2016: This will be Kirkeide's fourth and final season with the Wildcats.
2015: As a junior, Kirkeide was the Wildcats' top finisher at five of the team's six meets. She started off the season with a PR at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invitational before setting a new one at the NCAA Central Region Meet to end the season. Her time of 23:56 is No. 9 all-time at St. Kate's and was 53rd at the meet. Kirkeide also placed 37th to lead the Wildcats at the MIAC Championships. She also earned Academic All-MIAC honors.
2014: During her sophomore season, Kirkeide ran the No. 20 time in St. Kate's history at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invitational clocking in at 24:36. She was also the fourth Wildcat finisher at the MIAC Championships and earned Academic All-MIAC honors.
2013: As a first-year, Kirkeide ranked No. 21 all-time at St. Kate's when she ran a time of 24:56 at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invitational. She also competed at the MIAC Championships and was the fourth Wildcat finisher in 63rd place overall.
High School: At Greenbush-Middle River High School, Kirkeide competed in the state track meet in 2011 and 2013 and was named the MVP of the distance runners all four years. She was also an all-conference and academic all-state basketball player and led the team in steals and rebounds. Kirkeide also earned the team's most improved and MVP awards. Her resume also includes playing volleyball, playing in band and choir and holding vice-president and president roles in student council. Kirkeide was also a National Honor Society member, held leadership roles in 4H and went on several church mission trips.
Personal: Kirkeide chose to attend St. Catherine because she felt at home on campus and enjoyed how welcoming everyone was. She is a biology and pre-physical therapy major and dean's list student. Kirkeide is also on the Little Red Dress committee and a volunteer at the children's hospital. She attended the 2014 MIAC Student-Athlete Leadership Conference and worked with the Summer Scholars Collaboritive Research. She's studied abroad in Rome and the Carribean. Kirkeide is also a member of the track and field team. She is the daughter of Barry and Roxane Kirkeide.
