I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: I have the opportunity to be a student before an athlete. The people here genuinely care for you and push you out of your comfort zone. They teach you to be strong and independent.

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: What I enjoy most about being a student athlete at St. Kate's is that you're encouraged to be a student first. They stress the importance of preparing you for your career and as a soccer program they push you to better yourself all around. The soccer program doesn't just focus on bettering you as a player, they really work on pushing you to become the best person you can be.

2016: In her final season with St. Kate's, Okerstrom played in all 19 games and made 18 starts. She earned both All-MIAC and All-NSCAA honors during the season and was named to the NSCAA All-Scholar team at the end of the season after leading the Wildcats in all offensive cateogires. Okerstrom finished the season tied for second in goals (12) and points (30) in the MIAC and graduated as one of the most successful soccer players in program history, as she broke the school record for points in a season and single season goals (13). She finished her career second all-time in career goals (31) and points (71).

2015: Okerstrom played and started all 19 games for the Wildcats in 2015. She earned All-MIAC honors after leading the MIAC in regular season goals (13) and finishing second in points (28). Both Okerstrom's goal and point totals are the most by a Wildcat player ina  single season since joining the MIAC. She earned MIAC Athlete-of-the-Week Oct. 27 after scoring three goals in two games. Her four game-winners were tied for the most in the MIAC this season. Following the regular season, Okerstrom was also named to the NSCAA Division III All-North Region Second Team.

2014: As a sophomore, Okerstrom played and started all 17 games for the Wildcats. She was an All-MIAC Honorable Mention selection and led the Wildcats in goals (5) and points (11) which both ranked in the top-15 in the MIAC. She also scored both goals in a 2-1 overtime win over Hamline and the game-winner in a 1-0 win against St. Olaf.

2013: In her first season as a Wildcat, Okerstrom played in 18 games and scored one goal – a game-winner against UW-River Falls.

High School: At Stillwater, Okerstrom was a three-time letter winner and earned All-Conference and Honorable Mention honors for both soccer and hockey. She was also team captain of the soccer team and helped lead the Ponies to the section semi-finals.

Personal: Okerstrom chose St. Catherine because of the school's reputation in the medical field. Okerstrom is an nutrition science major and dean's list student. She is the daughter of Tom and Lisa Okerstrom.
