I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: both my education and the soccer program at St. Kate's have made me a stronger and more passionate individual. The soccer program not only develops us as players, but it also develops us as people. This program teaches us how to become the best versions of ourselves off the field. 

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: I enjoy the rigorous and well-rounded education that I receive at St. Kate's, as well as the high level of competition that the MIAC offers. I am grateful that I can pursue an excellent education and the sport that I love. 


2016: In her final season with St. Kate's, Zyla appeared in 19 games and made 18 starts. She finished the season tied for fourth on the team in assists (4) and also ranked in the top-10 in total points (6). Zyla finished her career tied for sixth all-time in career assists (12). She earned Academic All-MIAC honors. 

2015: Zyla appeared in one game for the Wildcats in 2015.

2014: As a sophomore, Zyla played and started all 17 games for the Wildcats. She led the team with four assists and was third on the team in points with eight. Her eight career assists already rank in the top-10 all-time at St. Kate's. Zyla also scored the game-winner in a 1-0 shutout of Central. She also earned Academic All-MIAC honors. 

2013: In her first season as a Wildcat, Zyla played in 18 games and scored one goal. She led the team in assists with four which ranked 14th in the MIAC. She was fourth on the team in points with six.

High School: Zyla was three-time MCAA All-Conference and a captain her junior and senior years at the Trinity School at River Ridge. She was named to the All-State Class A team in 2012 as she led her squad to an 11-5-1 record. Academically, Zyla earned the 2011 Trinity School leadership award and academic excellence awards in math, science human letters, drama, Latin and scripture. She was also a student ambassador and volunteered at the Como Zoo. 

Personal: Zyla chose to attend St. Catherine because of the high academic standards and the all-female classroom environment. She is a biology major, dean's list student and Antonian Honors student. She is also an officer in Katie Buddies and a biology lab assistant. She is the daughter of John and Debra Zyla.
