Biography

What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Catherine?: I enjoy having the opportunity to run at a competitive level and be surrounded by great teammates and friends, while earning an excellent education and preparing myself for my career.

Other Sports: Kristina was a core member of the St. Kate's cross country team for four seasons. Kristina placed in the top-35 for the last three years at the MIAC Championships and was the second Wildcat finisher in 2012 and 2013. Her time of 23:45 set in 2012 ranks No. 5 all-time at St. Kate's.
High School: She competed in track, nordic skiing, and tennis at Roseville High School and was a captain for all three sports. Kristina was all-conference in skiing for two years and qualified for the state meet twice. As a senior she was honored with the Character Award in tennis, Sportsmanship Award in skiing, and Coaches Award in track. She was involved in National Honor Society, symphony orchestra, and volunteered for the youth group at St. Odilia's church and at U of M Medical Center.
Personal: Kristina is a Chemistry major (pre-medicine). She earned Academic All-MIAC honors in 2011 and 2012 and has made the dean's list every semester she has been at St. Catherine. In May 2012, she earned the Sister Mary Thompson Scholarship for chemistry. She is a Mayo Innnovative Scholar and is co-president of the Medical Interest Group. Kristina is a member of Iota Sigma Pi, the women's society for chemistry. She also volunteers at the Carondelet Village and has done multiple research projects win chemistry. Kristina also serves as a resident advisor.
