OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The St. Catherine University volleyball team dropped two matches on Saturday in Oshkosh falling 3-0 in both matches. The pair of losses puts St. Kate's at 4-9 on the season with one more non-conference match standing between the Minnesota Intercollegaite Athletic Conference (MIAC) season.
MATCH ONE | No. 3 Wis. Oshkosh 3, St. Catherine 0
The Wildcats started strong with early points from
Madison Fagan and
Addison Preuss in set one, but the Titans used a surge of service aces and blocking to take control. In set two, SCU built a 6–2 lead behind kills from
Liz Rosen and Fagan before Oshkosh rallied, closing on a decisive run. The Titans' balance at the net and from the service line carried into the third set to secure the sweep.

MATCH TWO | Northwestern, St. Paul 3, St. Catherine 0
St. Catherine battled through long rallies and multiple lead changes but came up short in a 3–0 loss to Northwestern–St. Paul (25–19, 25–17, 25–11) on Saturday in Oshkosh. The opening set saw five ties before the Eagles pulled away from the Wildcats. St. Kate's hung close in the second, tying the frame nine times and getting key kills from Mallory Johnson and Madison Fagan but Northwestern closed strong with a late serving run. The Wildcats ran out of steam in the third as the Eagles hit .448 and sealed the sweep.
Leaders: Johnson (7 kills), Marta Haugen (8 kills, 3 blocks), Bredman (4 kills, 3 blocks), and Rosen (13 digs).
The Wildcat travel to Wisconsin-River Fall on Tuesday, September 23 followed by opening the conference season at Concordia College on Friday, September 26. They return to St Paul on September 27 hosting Gustavus at 5 pm.
