DULUTH, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University basketball team were challenged on Friday evening at Reif Gymnasium dropping the MIAC contest with a 66-39 result. St. Kate's is 5-5 overall sitting at 0-3 against MIAC opponents.
The Wildcats set the tone early, holding a narrow lead after the first quarter. The momentum carried into the second quarter as the Wildcats stayed within striking distance, heading into halftime down just four.
The third quarter proved difficult as shots didn't fall and turnovers led to extended possessions going the other way. St. Catherine finished the night with 40 rebounds and 14 bench points, continuing to attack inside and play with pace until the final buzzer.
Hattie Fox led the Wildcats with 14 points, while
Jordyn Peed added nine points and a team-high nine rebounds.
Raya Cassidy chipped in five points, and
Liz Kyles provided a lift off the bench with a pair of three-pointers.
Lily Peper filled the stat sheet with four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.
St. Catherine returns home in 2026 hosting Hamline on Jauary 3 at 1 pm.
