ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team recorded their eleventh shutout of the season with a 3-0 victory over the Bethel University Royals. The Minnesota Intercollegaite Athletic Conference (MIAC) win puts St. Kate's at 8-1 with two regular season conference games remaining.
The Wildcats broke through in the 32nd minute when senior
Briana Henaman burying her fourth goal on the season off an assist from
Ari Douvier, giving St. Kate's a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
The Wildcats maintained control and out shot the Royals 12-4 in the second half.
Ayah Makled doubled the lead in the 63rd minute, slotting home a pass form
Bella Meier. St. Kate's sealed the match in the 79th minute when
Ashley Fugitt converted a tip from B. Henaman from
Elyse Snortum's cross.

Brianna Valdez recorded her ninth shutout and 14th win with five saves as the backline anchored by
Haley Glass, Jaydin Richter and B. Henaman limited Bethel's scoring chances.
St. Kate's returns to action on Saturday, October 25 for their final regular season MIAC game at home against Gustavus Adolphus. The Wildcats also have one non-conference game remaining at home hosting Simpson College on Tuesday, October 28.
