ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University basketball team secured another conference sweep in dramatic fashion at the hands of
Hattie Fox on Monday evening. St. Kate's came from behind to pick-up a conference sweep of Bethel University 68-67. This is the first time in program history, the Wildcats have defeated the Royals twice in the MIAC season.

Greta Schimnowski led St. Kate's with 15 points, four rebounds and two steals shooting 50 percent from the perimeter. Fox tallied 12 points with four boards and two assists going 7 for 12 from the charity line, including the game winning point with .2 seconds remaining. Golembiewski was the teams other key contributor, adding ten points, seven boards shooting 100 percent from the free throw line.
St. Kate's trailed by 20 points after the first quarter with Fox scoring four of the Wildcats six points. Bethel's run carried into the second quarter building a 24 point gap before St. Kate's knocked it down by seven to trail 38-21 going into the half.
The game dramatically shifted in the third as the Wildcats posted 25 points to taking a two point lead with Schimnowski at the free throw line before the Royals tied it at 46-46 with ten to play. Schimnowski put the team up by five with a good three pointer and three minutes left on the clock but Bethel didn't give up the fight as they took the 65-64 lead with just 25 seconds left. Bethel tied it again before taking a one point lead with a back to back free throws and just eight seconds remaining. With .2 seconds left, the Royals made an unfortunate foul giving Fox three free throw attempts as she sunk the first and third to seal the win. Fox leads the MIAC so far this season in free throw attempts and free throws while ranking second in the conference for free throw percentage, a category she is currently ranked 12th in Division III.
The Wildcats will host Macalester College on Wednesday, February 7 at 7 pm as they currently sit in third place in the MIAC with just four conference games remaining.
