ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University basketball team improved their win streak to six on Monday evening hosting Saint Mary's University in a non-conference game on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The 64-59 victory get to the six game win streak is the program's longest winning streak since joining the MIAC and puts the programs record at 10-4 overall.

Hattie Fox recorded her 12th double-digits game of her rookie season contributing 18 to go along with her three rebounds and one assist. Junior
Greta Schimnowski supplied 14 of the team's points against the Cardinals while grabbing three rebounds and two steals. Schimnowski leads the MIAC in three point percentage ranking 10th in Division III. The third key player in the battle for victory was sophomore center
Emme Golembiewski putting up 13 points with eight rebounds, three steals and two assists.
The Wildcats scored 16 points in each quarter of the game holding onto a ten point lead over the Cardinals at the half. Halfway through the third period, the Cardinals found steam going on an eight point run taking a four point lead over the Wildcats. Schimnowski started the fourth quarter tying the game at 51-51 seven seconds in to start her seven point scoring run. She went on to score the team's final two points from the free throw line to score nine of the team's 16 points that quarter.
St. Catherine travels to Moorhead, Minnesota on Wednesday, January 17 for a 7 pm conference game against the Concordia College Cobbers.
