LA CROSSE, Wis. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team concluded their record season on Saturday in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. They finish the season 16-4-1 with a conference record of 9-1-0 after being defeated by Simpson College 2-1.
Simpson scored in the 24th minute taking a one goal lead into the half. Cassie Nash of Simpson scored both of the Storms' goals adding their second in the 51st minute.
Briana Henaman cut the lead in half adding her seventh goal of the season in the 62nd minute assisted by
Haley Glass and
Kallie Tuominen.
Kate Praetz made three saves in the game while Tuominen led the shot count with four.
