DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The St. Catherine basketball team defeated the Edgewood College Eagles 84-59 on Saturday afternoon in the Wildcats second game on the season.

Hattie Fox continued her strong start to her collegiate career posting her first double double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in 27 minutes.
Greta Schimnowski had an early-season 18 point performance with six boards. First-year
Lily Peper added eleven points with four rebounds and
Emme Golembiewski added ten rebounds with six points and two blocks.
In the opening quarter, the two teams battled to a 19-16 score with a late three pointer from Peper followed by a good basket from
Karis Zezza to take the lead. St. Kate's dominated in the second quarter outscoring Edgewood 26 to 12 shooting 42 percent from the field and Fox and Peper each adding six a piece.
Coming out of the half, the Wildcats gained their largest lead of the game up by 29 points led by Schimnowski who added 12 of her 18 points in the second half.
The Wildcats open the MIAC season and compete for the first time at home on Friday, November 17 hosting Saint Mary's University at 7 pm.
