NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University volleyball team fell to the Carleton College Knights on Saturday evening 3-0. The conference matchup played in Northfield is the team's first loss to the Knights since the 2018 season and puts the Wildcats at 6-4 in the MIAC with one conference match remaining.
Lexie Petrick led the way for St. Kate's with eight kills and nine digs while
Liz Rosen tallied five kills and 12 digs. Senior
Claire Segner had a team best 16 digs plus two assists and
Lucia Neuman led the match with 14 assists.
The opening set was a battle between both sides with 14 tied scored and seven lead changes. Ultimately though, the Knights powered through taking the set 25-20. Their momentum didn't slow down in the final two sets as they held onto the match downing the Wildcats 25-19 in set two and 25-17 in the final set.
St. Catherine will host Gustavus Adolphus on Friday, November 3 at 7 pm for senior day.
