ST. PETER, Minn. -- The St. Catherine tennis team wrapped up their fall season at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships on Monday highlighted by senior
Kelsey Dorr's performance. In total five Wildcats appeared in the regional championship while the other members of the team competed in the Gustavus Fall Invite.
Dorr entered the singles tournament as the No. 2 seed headed into the weekend earning a first round bye. Dorr won her first match 6-0, 6-4 over Anna Lee from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In the round of 16, Dorr secured a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Martina Garcia from the College of St. Scholastica to advance to the semifinals. From there, Dorr went on to top Molly Austin of Gustavus 6-2, 7-5 to move onto face Gianna Nikoleit in the semifinals. Dorr claimed the match 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 advancing to the ITA Regional Singles Championship match as the first-ever in program history facing the No. 1 seed, Sabrina Tang. Dorr put up a fight but ultimately fell to Tang, 5-7, 7-6 (4), 2-6.

Sofia Walker won two of her matches in the ITA regional championships taking down Peyton Kopel from the College of Saint Benedict 6-0, 6-0, along with Saha Manojlovic from Carthage 6-1, 6-3. Walker lost in the quarterfinals to Cassie Lee of UW-Whitewater by a score of 6-1, 6-1.
Senior
Elsa Joly appeared in the ITA singles championships winning her first match over Morgan Dekan from Eau Claire 7-5, 6-0 but dropped her next match to Renata Hernandez from Gustavus 6-3, 6-2.

Erin Loterbauer also appeared in the doubles tournament. Dorr and Walker were the No. 5 seed to earn a first-round bye. The duo went onto edge out a pair from Edgewood 8-4 but fell in the quarterfinals to Grinnell 8-6. Joly and Loterbauer appeared together falling to the doubles team from Grinnell, 8-1.
In the Gustie Fall Invite,
Erica Wing won her first match 8-2 over Anna Hacker from Concordia but fell to Edgewood's Maddy Coopmans 8-3 in the next round. Newcomer
Anna Luksik claimed three wins on the weekend falling in the championship round to Sydney Marin from Grinnell 8-3.
Loterbauer appeared in the Gustie Fall Invite Singles Draw claiming two wins and falling in the quarterfinals to Jane Sapding from St. Olaf 8-0 and junior
Lily Vang fell in the opening singles round to Luther 8-6. The final individual competitor on the weekend was
Maggie Buechler who dropped her first round singles match to St. Scholastica 8-4.
Wing and Luksik played as a doubles team in the Fall Invite making it to their draws championship but dropped the match 6-4 ito UW-Lacrosse. Vang and Luksik appeared together in the consolation bracket of the doubles tournament claiming their first match 7-5 but falling 6-4 in the semifinals.
