SARTELL, Minn. -- St. Catherine tennis extended their win streak with a 6-3 victory over the College of Saint Benedict Bennies on the road. The Wildcats improve to 10-2 overall with a MIAC record of 7-1.
St. Kate's swept doubles play against Saint Ben's with
Kelsey Dorr and
Sofia Walker winning at one doubles 8-4,
Bri Dorr and
Monica Zink winning 8-7 at No. 2 and
Elsa Joly and
Reilee Schepper taking the No. 3 doubles match 8-6.
K. Dorr, Walker, and Zink were responsible for the final three match wins with K. Dorr taking the No. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-1. Walker won at No. 2, 6-2, 6-3 and Zink was successful at No. 6 edging out her competition, 6-5, 7-6.
B. Dorr dropped a close three-set match 6-2, 3-6, 6-10 at No. 3 for just her third loss this season.
Elsa Joly was defeated at No. 4 6-1, 6-2 and
Reilee Schepper fell at No. 5 6-2, 6-4.
St. Kate's is back in action on Sunday, April 24 hosting Gustuavs at Baseline Tennis Center scheduled for 10:30 am.
