MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine tennis team claimed their second straight Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) win defeating Hamline University 9-0 on Friday at Baseline Tennis Center. The Wildcats improve to 3-0 overall and 2-0 against conference foes.
In doubles play, St. Catherine claimed 8-1 wins in both the No. 1 and No. 2 matches.
Kelsey Dorr and
Sofia Walker defeated Lily Vang and Taylor Vyskocil while
Bri Dorr and
Monica Zink downed Taylor Hopkins and Sydney Hubbard.
K. Dorr defeated Vang in the No. 1 singles match by a score of 6-1, 6-0 as Walker played their other doubles opponent also winning 6-1, 6-0.
B. Dorr was the No. 3 singles winner going 6-1, 6-1 and
Elsa Joly played at No. 4 with a 6-4, 6-3 win.
Senior
Reilee Schepper secured Wildcats win at No. 5 singles playing Hubbard with a win of 6-3, 6-1.
St. Kate's also claimed default wins at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles due to roster issues with the Pipers.
St. Kate's travels to Concordia-Moorhead Friday, March 18 for the first time since the 2017 season.
