MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine tennis team opened the spring season with a 9-0 victory over non-conference opponent Martin Luther College at Baseline Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota. 

St. Kate's No. 1 (Kelsey Dorr/Sofia Walker) and 2 (Bri Dorr/Monica Zink) doubles teams each won their matches 8-0 while the No. 3 (Ela Joly/Noelle Slezak) team won by a score of 8-2. 

In singles play, K. Dorr won 6-0,6-0 at No. 1 and B. Dorr played No. 2 also with a win of 6-0, 6-0. Walker played in the No. 3 match winning 6-1,6-1 and Joly played No. 4 winning 6-1,6-0.Slezak played the No. 5 singles match taking the win 6-3, 6-1 and Zink appeared at No. 6 with a definitive 6-0,6-0 win. 

St. Kate's is back in action Saturday, February 26 hosting the University of Wisconsin-River Falls at Baseline at noon. They are set to begin conference play on Friday, March 4 against Macalester.
