Box Score 2 SAINT JOSEPH, Minn. -- The St. Catherine softball team suffered a pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) losses to the No. 24 College of Saint Benedict Bennies on Saturday afternoon. The Bennies put an end to the Wildcats' hot streak Wildcats taking game one 14-0 in five innings and overpowered them again in five innings 8-0.
GAME ONE | St. Catherine 0, Saint Benedict 14 (5 innings)
Annabelle Schutte claimed the loss in game one allowing eight runs in 1.2 innings. Schutte recorded two strikeouts and committed eight errors.
Kelsey Berndt closed out the final 2.1 innings in the circle giving up six runs and striking out two.
Taylor Brunn had two hits in the game followed by
Angela Huepfel and
Alex Ehde each with one.
GAME TWO | St. Catherine 0, Saint Benedict 8 (5 innings)
Kathryn Proper took the loss in game two against the Bennies allowing eight runs off ten hits. Huepfel added another hit in game two along with
Shannon Leahy.
St. Kate's will travel up the street for a MIAC doubleheader at the University of St. Thomas on Sunday, April 25 with the first pitch scheduled for 1 pm.
