NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Wildcat softball teams winning ways continued on Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader sweep of the Carleton College Knights. St. Kate's (14-6, 9-1 MIAC) extend their win streak to nine with an 11-1 win in 6 innings in game one before securing a 7-0 victory in game two on the road. The Wildcats are now tied for first in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) with St. Olaf College at 9-1.
GAME ONE | St. Catherine 11, Carleton 1 (6 innings)

Kathryn Proper recorded her sixth win of the season appearing in 5 innings striking out five of the 22 batters faced. Proper allowed six hits giving up one run with one error.
The Wildcats scored in the top of the third before Carleton retaliated with a run scored off a sac fly to center field. The Wildcats went onto put three more runs on the board in the top of the 4th and fifth innings for a 4-1 lead headed into the sixth inning. Rookie Kaitlín Boyles recorded her first career home run in the purple and gold to start the seven-run inning off. With two outs on the board, runs came in from junior

GAME TWO | St. Catherine 7, Carleton 0
Annabelle Schutte started in the circle in game two going six innings in the effort. The junior allowed zero runs striking out three and gave up just three hits. Rookie
Erica Pronschinske entered the game for the final innings striking out one.
St. Kate's added three runs in the top of the second highlighted by senior Mikalya Grant with a two-run double to right-center driving in Ehde and Schutte. The Wildcats put together another three-run inning in the top of the sixth with a two-run single from Burr followed by a single from Huefpel. Grant scored the final run of the game with a solo home run in the top of the seventh.
Boyles was 5 for 9 on the day hitting .556 with one home run and two RBI. Burr was 2 for 7 with two runs and five RBI.
