LAKEVILLE, Minn. -- The St. Catherine tennis team (4-1, 3-1 MIAC) suffered their first season loss to conference foe, the University of St. Thomas (4-3, 1-0 MIAC), 8-1, on Friday afternoon at Lifetime Fitness Tennis Center. 

The Wildcats fell 3-0 in doubles play with the tandem of Kelsey Dorr (Princeton, Minn.) and Bri Dorr (Princeton, Minn.) dropping the No. 1 match 8-4. The Tommies claimed the victory over Ella Graham (Madison, S.D.) and Reilee Schepper (Princeton, Minn.), 8-3, at No. 2 and Elsa Joly (Plan De Cuques, France / Lacodaire) and Noelle Slezak (Chaska, Minn.) 8-0 in the No. 3 doubles match. 

In singles play, K. Dorr claimed the Wildcats solo win against the Tommies 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1. B. Dorr fell at No. 2 by a score of 6-2, 6-1, while Graham lost 6-0, 6-0. Schepper played at No. 4 dropping her first conference singles match of the season 6-3, 6-2. The Tommies final two points came at No. 5 over Joly 6-2, 6-2, and Slezak at No. 6 6-2, 6-3. 

St. Catherine returns to competition on Sunday hosting non-conference opponent Wartburg College at 12:30 pm.
