Box Score ST. PETER, Minn. -- St. Catherine hockey dropped their first game of the season falling to Gustavus Adolphus on the road Friday night. The Wildcats were defeated 7-0 by the Gusties in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) season opener.
The Gusties scored back to back goals with eight minutes off the clock to take a 2-0 lead in the first period.
St. Kate's held the Gusties to just two goals until the third period when Gustavus added five goals.
Elizabeth Kubicek had 46 saves in the game playing all three periods.
The Wildcats will host the Gusties on Saturday at Drake Arena with puck drop scheduled for 2 pm.
