ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Wildcats final game of the 2018-19 season in
Butler Center was one for the record books with four players with double-digit points. Senior guard
Audra Clark was honored prior to the start of the game against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) foe Macalester College on Senior Day. Falling to the Scots earlier this season, St. Catherine had their highest scoring game of the season topping the visitors on Saturday afternoon, 86-47.
Clark led the Wildcats to an 86-47 win of the Scots setting a new All-Time Career Points record at 1,483 points. The senior guard broke former teammate LaShay Holt's record set in 2007 of 1,476 points in her four years as a Wildcat.
In the first quarter, first-year starter
Sam Orth tallied 10 points for the Wildcats and 3 rebounds. Clark put up 6 points as she only needed 8 points to tie Holt's points record. St. Catherine had a total of 24 points to the Scots 13 after the first 10 minutes on the court.
Twelve seconds into the 2nd quarter, Clark made a good three-pointer to give St. Kate's the 27-13 lead and move up to the No. 1 spot. At the half, the Wildcats led the Scots 48-28.
Holding a twenty point lead, the Wildcats ran away with the game scoring 38 points in the 2nd half to the Scots just 19.
Clark had a total of 15 points in her final game as a Wildcat. The standout guard added 4 more assists to the All-Time Career Assists record now at 379. Clark played in a total of 105 games, starting all of them as a Wildcat. She also collected 3 rebounds in her final 27 minutes of basketball for a career total of 453.
Orth had 14 points against the scots plus 5 boards and 2 steals. Junior
Danica Cambrice tallied 12 points, 6 rebounds and a team best 6 assists. The final Wildcat in double-digits was first-year
Lauren Isaacson for a season-best 11 points and 4 rebounds.
St. Catherine finishes the 2018-19 season 11-14 overall and 8-10 in the MIAC.
